Expenses & Inventory
Record what your business buys, what it owes, and what it has paid.
These guides follow the groups on PiggyZen’s Expenses & Inventory screen.
Vendors
Keep supplier details consistent across purchases and imports.
Bills & Cash Expenses
Choose between a bill to pay later and an expense already paid.
Purchase Inventory
Record inventory value, whether paying now or buying on account.
Import Expenses
Bring directly paid expenses into PiggyZen from CSV files.
Other Expense Actions
Prepayments, inventory adjustments, bad debt, income tax and vendor refunds.
Choose the right starting point
- An expense paid immediately: use Record Paid Expense.
- A supplier bill to pay later: create a bill, mark it as received, then record its payments.
- Goods bought for resale: use Purchase Inventory, choosing Pay Now or Bill.
- A payment for an existing bill: use Bill Payment so the bill’s outstanding amount is updated.
Record the purchase once.
If a purchase is already recorded as a bill, its payment should not also be entered as a new paid expense or expense import.
