BRING YOUR RECORDS TOGETHER
Import & Data
Bring records from other systems into PiggyZen using the import that matches the data.
Customers
Create or update customer contact records using account numbers.
Journal Entry Import
Import balanced journals from a POS or another accounting system.
Income
Record sales made elsewhere, with the appropriate accounts and taxes.
Expenses
Import expense records and vendor information.
Bank Statements
Import statement lines, then compare and process them.
Prepare your file
Choose the import type first and follow its displayed column list. Use the sample file where offered. Upload a CSV file of no more than 0.5 MB, rather than an Excel workbook.
Use a decimal point in amounts, without currency symbols or thousands separators, and dates in YYYY-MM-DD format. Put text containing commas inside double quotes. Keep optional columns even when their values are blank. For customer, income, expense and bank imports, preserve the displayed column order. Journal imports have their own rules.
Check the selected business, bank account or location where offered before importing. A successful upload does not mean every record was accepted: read the import result and any errors.
Correcting an import
Customer, income, expense and bank imports can save valid rows while reporting errors on others. Check what succeeded and prepare a correction file containing only the records still needed.
These imports check previously used filenames, but renaming a file does not make its contents new. Reimporting the same transactions under another name can duplicate them. Journal Entry Import instead checks journal references and saves only after the whole file passes validation.
Bulk delete journal entries
The maintenance area can delete journals within a date range or a journal-number range. These are PiggyZen journal numbers, not invoice numbers or external import references.
There is no undo in the interface. This removes journal entries; it is not a complete reversal of related customer, vendor, invoice or bill records. It can also affect closed-period figures. Use it only after reviewing the affected records with your accountant.
For an individual mistake, review the entry and its original workflow first. A business-wide reset is a separate option under Business Settings.
